RE: AUTHORIZE EXTENSION OF OIL AND GAS LEASE COVERING CERTAIN
PROPERTY OWNED BY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO - E1/2 SE1/4, S24, T8N,
R66W
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County is the owner of vast mineral lands located in Weld County,
Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Bill Barrett Corporation submitted a request to extend the lease of 80 net
mineral acres, more or less, described to -wit:
E1/2 SE1/4 of Section 24, Township 8 North,
Range 66 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County,
Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County desires to approve the request submitted by Bill Barrett
Corporation, to extend the lease on the above -described mineral acreage for $176.66 per net
mineral acre, for a total sum of $14,133.33, together with a rental fee of one dollar ($1.00) per
net mineral acre, which is to run for a period of six (6) months, commencing at twelve o'clock
noon on October 6, 2013, and ending at twelve o'clock noon on April 6, 2014.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the request submitted by Bill Barrett Corporation, to extend the
lease on the above -described mineral acreage for $176.66 per net mineral acre, for a total sum
of $14,133.33, together with a rental fee of one dollar ($1.00) per net mineral acres, which is to
run for a period of six (6) months, commencing at twelve o'clock noon on October 6, 2013, and
ending at twelve o'clock noon on April 6, 2014, be, and hereby is, granted and approved.

Bill Barrett Corporation ("BBC") is the current owner of the Oil and Gas Lease Weld County granted to
Bold Resources, LLC ("BOLD"), dated October 6, 2010. BOLD assigned the lease to BBC (copy of
assignment enclosed) on October 26, 2010, and BBC has maintained the lease by annual payments of
$80.00 since then.
In accordance with the terms of the lease (copy enclosed), BBC hereby applies for a six-month extension
of the lease term by the payment of $14,133.33 in additional lease bonus, together with the annual
delay rental in the amount of $80.00. It is our understanding that should the Board approve of this six-
month extension, it would postpone lease expiration until April 6, 2014.
Enclosed please find our check #205105 in the amount of $14,133.33 and check #205104 in the amount
of $80.00 covering both previously referenced payments in full. Will you please confirm to BBC, in
writing, the Board's approval of the extension of the lease referenced above?

old Resources, LLC ("ASSIGNOR"), whose address is 6615 W. Rowland Avenue, Littleton , Colorado
80128, for the payment of Ten and no/100 Dollars ($10.00) and other valuable consideration, the receipt and
sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged and subject to the terms and conditions hereof, hereby grants,
sells, assigns, and conveys to Bill Barrett Corporation ("ASSIGNEE"), whose address is 1099 18th St., Ste.
2300, Denver, Colorado 80202, all of its right, title and interest in and to the following oil and gas lease

If said oil and gas lease covers less than the full fee simple estate in the oil, gas and other hydrocarbons under
any tract or tracts of the land assigned hereby, or if the leasehold interest in such lease owned by Assignor is
less than the full and entire working interest, the interest assigned herein with respect to that tract or tracts, shall
be proportionately reduced.
It is the further understanding of Assignor and Assignee that:
Assignor will, at any time and from time to time after the date hereof, upon Assignee's request, execute,
acknowledge anddeliver or cause to be executed and delivered, all further documents or instruments necessary
to effect the transaction embodied in this Assignment of Oil and Gas Lease.
Assignor makes no representation or warranty of title to the interests assigned hereby, other than against
lawful claims of persons claiming the same or any part thereof by; through or under Assignor, but not
otherwise. This conveyance is made with full substitution and subrogation of Assignee, its successors and
assigns, to the rights of Assignor under, in and to all warranties made by others with respect to the rights, titles
and interests being conveyed hereunder.
To have and to hold the same under Assignee, its successors and assigns forever.
