HOUSING AUTHORITY
WELD COUNTY, COLORADO
NOVEMBER 25, 2013
The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Housing
Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting
in the Weld County Administration Building, Greeley, Colorado, November 25, 2013, at the hour of
9:00 a.m.
e ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members
were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner Sean P. Conway, Chair
Commissioner William F. Garcia, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer
Commissioner David E. Long
Commissioner Douglas Rademacher
Also present:
County Attorney, Brad Yatabe
Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther Gesick
Controller, Barbara Connolly
MINUTES: Commissioner Conway moved to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority Board
meeting of October 28, 2012, as printed. Commissioner Rademacher seconded the motion, and it
carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS: There was no new business.
e Tom Teixeira, Director of the Greeley/Weld Housing Authority, gave an update on the
Neighborhood Stabilization Program; he reported that one house is on the market (with two showings
to -date) and two more should be on the market next week. Mr. Teixeira said he would give the Board a
future report on the Development Block Grants Disaster Relief funds coming available from the State
and HUD. Commissioner Conway noted the Secretary of HUD and Senator Bennet will be in town
December 5, 2013, and Mr. Teixeira might want to attend that and bring any ideas/concerns to their
attention. In response to Commissioner Conway, he said a number of FEMA trailers (50) will be
coming to Greeley, and their goal is to have people living in them by December 1, 2013.
Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted
by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
