Stephens Mechanical from Newnan, Georgia, was the lowest bidder for CG Motor Graders. However, several items on their bid do not meet specs, they did not identify any local field service or repair staff, and there is no local service equipment, parts Inventory or response commitment. The base price of all three machines is $180,248 each. We would like the following options on all three machines: Option B (GPS/Deluxe) which Is included in the base price; Option C (Removable Front Fenders) Is $1,262; Option D (Removable Rear Fenders) Is $2,446; Option E (AWD) is $22,473; Option F (Auto Shift Trans) which is Included in the base price; Option I (5 Yr/7500 Hour Extended Power Train Warranty) Is $7,844 (this price Is for 9,000 hours per bid); Option J (Spare Tire and Wheel) is $2,800. The cost for three Volvo motor graders from Power Equipment with the above options is $217,073 each or $651,219 for three machines. In comparison, the cost for three CG motor graders from Stephens Mechanical with the above options is $180,200 each or $540,600 for three machines. There is $690,000 budgeted for this purchase.
