WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the Board of County Commis-
sioners, Weld County, Colorado, is vested with the responsibility
of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Board that
there is a need for a Quick Response Unit to assist the Weld
County Ambulance Service in ambulance coverage of the Windsor,
Colorado, area, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that it is not
financially feasible to place an ambulance in every community
of Weld County, and
WHEREAS, an agreement may be entered into with the
Windsor-Severance Fire Protection District for the utilization
of the Windsor Rescue Unit as a Quick Response Unit to assist
the Weld County Ambulance Service, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that said agreement
would not result in any additional Weld County Ambulance
Service budget, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that it would be in
the best interests of the County to enter into said agreement
with the Windsor-Severance Fire Protection District for the
use of the Windsor Rescue Unit as a Quick Response Unit to
assist the Weld County Ambulance Service under the terms and
conditions as set forth in said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that said agreement with
the Windsor-Severance Fire Protection District providing for
use of the Windsor Rescue Unit as a Quick Response Unit to
assist the Weld County Ambulance Service, a copy of which is
attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, be, and
it hereby is approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board be, and it hereby
is authorized to execute said agreement and to make the same
effective forthwith.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion
duly made and seco ded, adopted by the following vote on the
7th day of 3+ x A.D. 1976 .

AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 7th day of_ July ,
A.D. , 1976, by and between WELD COUNTY, a political subdivision of the
State of Colorado, by the Board of County Commissioners, Party of the First
Part, and the WINDSOR-SEVERANCE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, Party
of the Second Part,
WITNESSETH:
That in consideration of the mutual promises and obligations and other
considerations herein expressed:
1. The Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado,
designates the Windsor Rescue Unit of the Windsor-Severance Fire Protection
District as a first response unit of the Weld County Ambulance Service.
2, The Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado,
agrees to supply the said Windsor Rescue Unit a basic inventory consisting
of dressings, bandages, splinting equipment, and intravenous solution all
as more fully set forth on Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof
by reference. It is agreed that the Weld County Ambulance Service will
include the costs of said supplies in regular patient billing for reimbursement
to Weld County of the cost of said supplies.
3. The Windsor-Severance Fire Protection District agrees that the
Windsor Rescue Unit will respond, staffed by E. M. T. personnel, when requested
by the Weld County Ambulance Servica,to stabilize patients and prepare them
for transportation.
4. It is mutually agreed by the parties that the Board of County Com-
missioners, Weld County, Colorado, does not accept any liability for the use
of equipment or supplies, supplied by the County to the Windsor Rescue Unit
of the Windsor-Severance Fire Protection District.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, said parties have subscribed and executed
these presents, the County in its proper name by the Board of County Com-
missioners, Weld County, Colorado, and the said fire protection district by
its proper name and proper officers thereunto duly authorized by it, the date
first above mentioned.
