RE: ELECTION OF CHAIR PRO-TEM OF THE BOARD FOR 2013
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3-5(1) of the Weld County Home Rule Charter, the Board of
County Commissioners shall elect, at its first meeting in January of each year, a Chair Pro-Tem of
the Board, and
WHEREAS, on January 2, 2013, the Board held its annual organizational meeting, and
WHEREAS, on motion duly made and seconded, Commissioner Douglas Rademacher was
unanimously elected as Chair Pro-Tem of the Board for the year 2013.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Commissioner Douglas Rademacher be, and hereby is, elected to serve as
Chair Pro-Tem of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, for the year 2013.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair Pro-Tem be, and hereby is,
authorized and directed to sign, in the absence of the Chair, all legal documents on behalf of the
Weld County Commissioners and for the County of Weld, also any document wherein the statutes
require only the signature of the Chair of the Board, attested to by the Clerk to the Board.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 2nd day of January, A.D., 2013, nunc pro tunc January 1, 2013.
