WHEREAS, Charles Kouns was an outstanding citizen
of Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the people of Colorado are greatly saddened
by the death of Charles Kouns on March 6 , 1976, and
WHEREAS, in serving on the Otero County Board of
Commissioners and as President of the Colorado Counties, Inc. ,
Charles Kouns proved to be a dedicated servant of the people
of Colorado.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of
County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that it hereby
expresses its deep gratitude and appreciation for the work of
Charles Kouns . By his death, Colorado has experienced the loss
of one of its outstanding citizens; thus , does the Board of
County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, extend its deepest
sympathy to all members of the Kouns family and his may friends .
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion
duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote this
10th day of March, 1976.

Dear Commissioners :
On March 6 , 1976 , the State of Colorado lost an out-
standing citizen , Charles Kouns . It is only proper that
we honor this man for his dedication and public service as
an Otero County Commissioner and as President of Colorado
Counties , Inc.
Please refer to the attached copy of the resolution
that was adopted by the Weld County Board of Commissioners
on March 10 , 1976 . May I suggest that all 63 Boards of
County Commissioners in the State of Colorado respond in a
similar manner. Copies of such resolutions should be sent
to Mrs . Kouns at Route 1, Fowler , Colorado 81039 , and to
the CCI Office.
