HomeMy WebLinkAbout20133262.tiffRESOLUTION RE: APPROVE CERTIFICATION OF WEED ENFORCEMENT LIEN - MICHAEL LAXAMANA WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 15-2-70 of the Weld County Code, the Board of County Commissioners may certify to the Weld County Treasurer any assessment for weed enforcement work not paid within 33 days, to constitute a lien against each lot or tract of land until paid, and WHEREAS, the Vegetation Management Specialist performed weed enforcement work on property owned by Michael Laxamana,18541 CR 22, Fort Lupton, Colorado 80621, on property described as Parcel #130707401001, Section 7, Township 2 North, Range 65 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, a Billing Invoice was sent by Certified Return Receipt mail on August 29th and again on November 12th, 2013, in the amount of $242.40, and evidence of delivery and receipt was not received, to date, said Billing Invoice has not been paid, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to certify a lien against the property, described as Parcel #130707401001, in the amount of $242.40. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that a lien against the property, described as Parcel #130707401001, in the amount of $242.40, be, and hereby is, certified, pursuant to Section 15-2-70 of the Weld County Code, because of failure to pay within 33 days of the completion of weed enforcement work. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Weld County Treasurer be, and hereby is, authorized to place said lien against each lot or tract of land under the parcel numbers described above, in accordance with Section 35-5.5-109(5)(a), C.
