Subject: Contractor's already packed and on their way to screw everyone in the County
Your County is going to be hit with every contractor in the Western states, all trying to gouge your residents.
If you can, put an ordinance in place in an effort to protect the Weld residents previous to the onset of this problem. An
ordinance would probably be appropriate for all the Counties effected and this may be the one time coming into conflict
with the private sector is justified. After all if it can be done and you initiate the action, you'll come out political hero's.
If like so many other communities, I would assume very few of your residents carried flood insurance and it takes the
Fed's months if not years to distribute monetary help.
By the way and though a tough lesson, you may not consider gun law requirements to be near as important as flooding
right now. Please consider whether or not you actually declare Weld County a disaster area (so the County can receive
Federal funds from the United States) previous to seceding.
As an individual born and raised in Greeley and an avid hunter and extreme distant shooting competitor, I am not anti-
gun, but please consider cleaning up the silliness so we don't appear to be more of a fool then we already do.
