Weld County Library
1976 - 1996
The accompanying figures represent a preliminary listing of space requirements
needed to provide adequate county library facilities for the next twenty years.
They have been prepared at the request of the Weld County Commissioners in order
that architectural planning for an addition may be started.
In 1972 the firm of C N C / N R P Q, Inc. prepared a Facilities Planning
Study for the County. This study stated that "more expansion is envisioned in
the near future" for the library. They also pointed out that additional land is
available and that the present structure was planned with enough flexibility
to make possible an addition to the north.

Desk for charging and discharging books and registering
new patrons
Work room for registration files, overdue microfilm reader,
circulation microfilm files, reserves, audio-visual equip-
ment for loan, sorting and shelving trucks, minor mending of
magazines and paperbacks.
Storage of 16mm and 8mm film, video-cassettes, filmstrips,
and slides.
