RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF MICHAEL WALLACE AS DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC
SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS FOR WELD COUNTY, AND RESCIND RESOLUTION
#2013-0603
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, by and through Resolution #2013-0603, dated March 4, 2013, the Board of
County Commissioners approved the appointment of Michael Wallace as the Director of the Weld
County Regional Communications Center, and
WHEREAS, the Board now desires to appoint Mr. Wallace as the Director of Public Safety
Communications for Weld County, with the added duties of being the contract administrator of the
public safety computer system and manager of the information technology staff assigned to maintain
the public safety computer system, and
WHEREAS, because such appointment is the correct description of Mr. Wallace's position
and the duties he assumes thereunder, the Board now desires to rescind Resolution #2013-0603.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Michael Wallace be, and hereby is, appointed as the Director of Public
Safety Communications for Weld County, with the added duties cited above which he will assume in
addition to his other duties.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Resolution #2013-0603, dated March 4,
2013, be, and hereby is, rescinded.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 6th day of November, A.D., 2013.
