RE: GRANT REQUEST OF COLORADO MIGRANT COUNCIL FOR USE OF THE
EXHIBITION BUILDING AND WAIVER OF FEES FOR THE SAME.
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Colorado Migrant Council has requested permis-
sion to use the Exhibition Building on August 23 , 1979 for a bene-
fit dance, and
WHEREAS, the Colorado Migrant Council has further requested
that the fees for said Exhibition Building be waived, and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to grant the request of the
Colorado Migrant Council for use of the Exhibition Building and
waiver of fees except for the direct costs to the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the request of the Colo-
rado Migrant Council for use of the Exhibition Building on August 23 ,
1979 be, and hereby is , granted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the fees for use of
said Exhibition Building with the exception of the direct costs to
the County be, and hereby are, waived.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 8th day of
August, A.D. , 1979 .

Dear Ms. Burkhart:
The Colorado Migrant Council is a non-profit organization
which serves and works directly with migrant and seasonal
farmworkers. Our purpose is to aid, provide and counsel
with farmworkers according to their necessities.
We are able to perform our duties through federal funding
and a large portion of our budget goes directly for services
provided for the migrant necessities.
Our present office is beyond repair for safe and proper
function and is in the state of collapsing, we desperately
need to relocate.
We would like to request the use of your facilities located
at the Weld County Exhibition Building on August 23, 1979
to raise funds for obtaining a different building that is
safe to the employees as well as for the people we serve.
Our project consists of raising $5,000.00 for the down
payment on a building. Our plan is to make a benefit dance
to raise the needed funds.
We ask for your cooperation inconsenting the use of your
facilities on a fee-waiver basis if possible.
Your prompt response would be very much appreciated, for
we need time to prepare if our request is approved by
your board.
