A public hearing was conducted on October 2, 2013, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner William F. Garcia, Chair
Commissioner Douglas Rademacher, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Sean P. Conway
Commissioner Mike Freeman
Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer
Also present:

Planning Department, Diana Aungst on behalf of Planner, Tiffane Johnson
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated August 2, 2013, and duly published
August 7, 2013, in the Greeley Tribune, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request
of Ronald Hulstrom, c/o SureSite Consulting Group, LLC, for a Site Specific Development Plan
and Use by Special Review Permit, USR13-0029, for 130 -foot Telecommunication Tower in the
A (Agricultural) Zone District. Brad Yatabe, Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of
record.
Diana Aungst, on behalf of Tiffane Johnson, Department of Planning Services, reported
that the applicant requested the matter be referred back to staff to address co -location
requirements, which involves negotiations with other tower owners. She explained the Planning
Commission Hearing, held on August 20, 2013, was rescheduled to September 17, 2013, and
consequently the Board of County Commissioner's hearing on September 4, 2013, was
continued to today. Mr. Yatabe clarified that this matter was referred back to staff by the
Planning Commission. In response to Commissioner Kirkmeyer, Ms. Aungst referred to the
Planning Commission meeting minutes which indicated the continuance request was made by
staff on behalf of the applicant. Mr. Yatabe clarified this is the usual process for an indefinite
continuance.
IEJ Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to refer the request of Ronald Hulstrom, do SureSite
Consulting Group, LLC, for a Site Specific Development Plan and Use by Special Review
Permit, USR13-0029, for 130 -foot Telecommunications Town in the A (Agricultural) Zone
District, back to the Department of Planning Services to allow the applicant additional time to
address co -location requirements, which involves negotiations with other tower owners. The
motion was seconded by Commissioner Rademacher, and it carried unanimously. There being
no further discussion, the hearing was completed at 10:19 a.m.
