The design plan is to place ten (10) future fresh water tanks on the site. These tanks are 20,000 gallon tanks and are raised off the ground with integral skids. The proposed site is located in the SW 1/4 of Section 25, Township 4 North, Range 66 West in Weld County. More specifically, the site is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Weld County Road (WCR) 40 and WCR 35. The site is bound on the south by WCR 40 and on the other three sides by undeveloped farmland. The existing site is covered by natural grasslands and is 2.25 acres. The existing topography of the site slopes from the northeast corner to the southwest corner at a 1% to 1.5% grade. CES reviewed the soils information for the site as produced by the West Greeley Conservation District. This information showed the soils types at the site as classified by the US Agricultural Department Weld County Soil Survey as Vona — Loamy Sands. CES also performed a site visit of the tank site. Per these observations, it is our opinion that the existing soils have adequate strength and bearing capacity of support the proposed ten (10) fresh water tanks on integral skids as shown.
