RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF DEON HARRIS AS ASSISTANT VETERANS SERVICE
OFFICER
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 28-5-801 through 805, C.R.S., enumerate the obligations,
terms, and qualifications of County Veterans Service Officers, and
WHEREAS, a vacancy currently exists in the Assistant Veterans Service Officer position,
and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Deon Harris to said position, to replace
David Fry, with his term to begin September 1, 2013, and end August 31, 2015.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Deon Harris be, and hereby is, appointed the Assistant Veterans Service
Officer, with a term to expire August 30, 2015.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 16th day of September, A.D., 2013, nunc pro tunc September 1, 2013.
