RESOLUTION
RE: DIRECTING WELD COUNTY ATTORNEY TO CONTINUE DEFENSE OF CIVIL
ACTION NO. 23537, INTERLADCO, INC. , ET AL. , PLAINTIFFS, VS.
GLENN K. BILLINGS, ET AL. , DEFENDANTS.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Civil Action No. 23537 has been pending in the
Weld County District Court since January, 1973, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Attorney, together with Special
Counsel, have pursued the defense of said action since its
inception, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, deems it advisable and in the best interest of Weld
County to direct the Weld County Attorney to continue the de-
fense of said action, and to employ Special Counsel, as needed,
pursuant to the provisions of the Weld County Home Rule Charter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that Thomas O. David, Weld
County Attorney, be, and hereby is, directed to continue the
defense of Civil Action No. 23537 now pending in the District
Court of Weld County, Colorado, and Thomas O. David is further
authorized and directed to employ Special Counsel, as needed,
for the continued defense of the various county officials and
former county officials involved as defendants in said action.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 23rd day
of November, A.D. , 1977.
