Re: Weld County Hazardous Materials Route Designation Petition for
Transportation of Crude Oil by Commercial Trucks on County Road 49
Dear Commissioners:
The captioned Petition was received by the Colorado State Patrol on April
1, 2013.
Pursuant to §42-20-302 (5), C.R.S., a copy of the Petition has been
forwarded to the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) for
review and comment.
The Patrol and CDOT will review the Petition for further processing in
accordance with §42-20-302, C. R. S. Once the Petition has been
accepted, the Patrol will provide the public notice required by§42-20-302
(4), C. R. S., and schedule an Informal Pubic Conference (IPC) wherein
your representative may present the Petition.
The purpose of the IPC is to provide any and all interested persons the
opportunity to comment on the proposed designation. Written comments
will also be accepted.
