MEMORANDUM
To: Board of County Commissioners
From: Doug Erler, Director, Justice Services
Re: Consider Approval of Revised Community
Corrections Board Bylaws and Authorize Chair to
Sign
Date: November 4, 2013
The Weld County Community Corrections Board recommends approval of revisions made to
their bylaws. The most notable change involves making the Chief Public Defender for the 19th
judicial district a standing member. Other changes are merely conforming in nature and should
provide better structure and clarity for the Community Corrections Board and Weld County
Government. Please recall that these revisions were originally discussed at a Work Session on
October 28, 2013. They have been reviewed by County Attorney, Bruce Barker and now come
before you for your final review and approval.
Thank you.
