HomeMy WebLinkAbout770367.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVAL OF THE REQUEST FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A TEMPORARY BUILDING FOR THE STORAGE OF LUMBER PRODUCTS. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Woodrow W. Collins, owner of Collins Lumber Company in Johnstown, Colorado, has requested from the Board of County Commissioners , its approval of the construction of a temporary building at 23574 West Co. Rd. #13 , Weld County, Colorado, for the purpose of storing lumber products. The request stems from the recent fire in Johnstown, Colorado which destroyed the Collins Lumber Company, and WHEREAS, it was suggested by a representative of the Weld County Department of Planning Service that, if this request is approved by the Board of County Commissioners, it would be ad- visable to limit the temporary building to one year from the date the Board of County Commissioners gave its approval, and that no commercial business be allowed at said site, and WHEREAS, there being no objections by the Board of County Commissioners to the aforementioned request, it was agreed that said request should be approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the request for con- struction of a temporary building for the storage of lumber products by Woodrow W. Collins, owner of Collins Lumber Company, Johnstown, Colorado, be, and hereby is , approved subject to the following conditions, to-wit: 1. that the temporary building be placed on the premises for a period not to exceed one year from the date the Board of County Commissioners approved the same; 2. that no commercial business be allowed at said site. All buildings or structures which are structurally unsafe or not provided with adequate egress,or which constitute a fire hazard, or are otherwise dangerous to human life,or which in relation to existing use constitute a hazard to safety or health,or public welfare,by reason of Inadequate maintenance,delapldation, obsolescence, fire hazard, disaster damage, or abandonment, as specified in this Code or any other effective ordinance, are, for the purpose of this Section, unsafe buildings.
