I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you for the cooperation and support you have shown the Weld
Re -3J School District. The open communication and support given in negotiating the road improvements of
Weld County Road 59 and State Highway 52 for the safety of our students was paramount in order to bring to
fruition.
Unfortunately it was very difficult to get CDOT to agree to financially support improvements in intersections
until there is loss of life. On this occasion we were able to avoid such a scenario.
Commissioners, you have helped our school district move forward with this very important project, while in a
difficult economic climate within the world of education. Without your support, I believe these improvement
would have become a missed opportunity to protect our students and families from future catastrophe.
Many thanks for foreseeing a need, building partnerships and supporting the safety of our children.
