HomeMy WebLinkAbout20133409.tiffRESOLUTION TO SET MILL LEVY A RESOLUTION LEVYING GENERAL PROPERTY TAXES FOR THE 2014 BUDGET YEAR TO HELP DEFRAY THE COSTS OF GOVERNMENT FOR THE SOUTHWESTERN WELD COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY LOCATED IN WELD COUNTY, COLORADO, WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, of Weld County, Colorado, ex -officio Southwestern Weld County Law Enforcement Authority Board has adopted the annual budget in accordance with the Local Government Budget Law, on December 11, 2013, and WHEREAS, the amount of money necessary to balance the budget or general operating expenses is $1,598, and WHEREAS, the 2013 valuation for assessment for the Southwestern Weld County Law Enforcement Authority District, as certified by the County Assessor, is $228,350. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners, ex -officio Southwestern Weld County Law Enforcement Authority Board: Section 1. That, for the purpose of meeting all general operating expenses of the Southwestern Weld County Law Enforcement Authority District during the 2014 budget year, there is hereby levied a tax of 7.0 mills upon each dollar of the total valuation for assessment of all taxable property within the District for the year 2013. Section 2. That the Chair of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, serving as the Chair of the Southwestern Weld County Law Enforcement Authority Board, is hereby authorized and directed to immediately certify to the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, the mill levy for the Southwestern Weld County Law Enforcement Authority District as hereinabove determined and set. e(;`G/ (I)oo) 2013-3409 SD0118 The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 11th day of December, A.D., 2013.
