HomeMy WebLinkAbout20133377.tiffRESOLUTION RE: APPROVE CANCELLATION OF CERTAIN OUTSTANDING ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE FOR THE WELD COUNTY TREASURER - PERSONAL PROPERTY, MOBILE HOMES, AND POSSESSORY INTEREST TAXES WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, John Lefebvre, Weld County Treasurer, has submitted a list of certain personal property, mobile homes, and possessory interest taxes assessed for various years, in the amount of $70,282.15, which are deemed to be uncollectable, and WHEREAS, said accounts have been deemed uncollectible in accordance with guidelines adopted by the County of Weld, a copy of said list being attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and WHEREAS, the Accounting Department has recommended the cancellation of said list of uncollectible debts due and owing, in the amount of $70,282.15. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the aforementioned list of uncollectible personal property, mobile homes, and possessory interest taxes, in the amount of $70,282.15, be, and hereby is, approved for cancellation. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 11th day of December, A.D., 2013.
