SUBJECT: Tandem Axle Multipurpose Trucks, Bid 61300008
The Public Works Department recommends awarding the bid to the low bidder, Transwest Trucks, for two,
Tandem Axle Multipurpose Trucks with Layton bodies, at a cost of $417,439.00.
A complete set of manuals is available on-line at no additional cost.
There is $ 350,000 budgeted for this purchase. If you have any questions, please call me at extension 3739
One truck will be used for transporting trailers, hauling various pieces of equipment for culvert installation or
repairs, snow plow and sander use, hauling materials.
One truck is used for snow plow and sander use, and the tank is used for hauling water for cement treated
base projects (CTB), and the vac truck to flush culverts. They are replacement vehicles.
