SUBJECT: Northern Armored Service
We have received a letter from Northern Armored Service regarding a rate increase. We currently
have a bid for services with them at a rate of $7.00 per trip. In the agreement they also bid the
services at fuel cost of $3.00/gal. There was a schedule of increases that would be allowed if fuel
was to increase. Their bid was an increase of 5% for every $.05 increase. With the price of fuel this
would put then in excess of the $8.00 per trip that they are requesting.
With the above information I would recommend continuing the contract at $8.00 per trip.

Due to the ever increasing costs of day to day operations we must increase the cost of our services at this
time. We strive to keep our rates low and are still very competitive with comparable services.
Our records indicate that we have not had a Service increase since 2003. Your new service rate will be
$8.00 per trip. The new service rate will take effect on July 1st 2013.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support and patronage all these years.
