RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING WAIVER OF TEN-DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR
CONSIDERATION AND INVESTIGATION OF THE BID #B1300039, (PARTIAL) ROOF
REPLACEMENT - JAIL
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Welld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Purchasing has requested waiver of the ten-day waiting
period for the Roof Replacement (Partial) for the Jail, Bid Request No. B1300039, due to time
constraints, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to waive the ten-day waiting
period for said bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the ten-day waiting period for the Roof Replacement (Partial), Bid
Request No. B1300039, be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the low bid from ACC Roofing, Inc., in
the amount of $93,534.00, be, and hereby is, accepted.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 11th day of February, A.D., 2013.

Subject: Roof Replacement —Jail (Partial); Bid #B1300039
As advertised, this bid is to perform a partial replacement of a Jail roof that became detached during
high winds. The low bid is from ACC Roofing Inc. and meets specifications. Therefore, Buildings &
Grounds is recommending the bid be awarded ACC Roofing Inc. Due to the current condition of the
roof, I am requesting emergency approval.
