Garcia, Chair Board of County Commissioners 1150 O Street Greeley, CO 80632 RE: Weld/Larimer BLF Loan Committee recommendation Dear Mr. Garcia: The Weld/Larimer BLF Loan Committee has two open positions. Jacob Castillo, Ex - officio member in Larimer County is currently working with the Larimer County Commissioners to fill the open Larimer County position. The purpose of this letter is to recommend the appointment of Ron Wildeman to fill the Weld County vacancy. After reviewing the current committee mix I've concluded that the loan fund would benefit from having someone in the business community that will bring a different perspective to the committee. Ron Wildeman would be an excellent person to fill that role. Ron is the general manager of Norfolk Iron and Metal, formally Winograd Steel. He is active in the community and understands the needs of both small and large businesses. Ron served on the loan committee previously; his last term ended in 2000. He was highly thought of by the loan administrator, with file notes stating that he was professional, knowledgeable and offered constructive suggestions. I have personally worked with Ron on past projects and highly recommend his appointment. He is a quality candidate and we are fortunate that he has agreed to offer his name for consideration. I appreciate your consideration. Please give me a call if you have questions or would like to discuss this change in more detail.
