RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS, REAPPOINTMENTS AND REASSIGNMENT TO
PLANNING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Planning Commission, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Nicholas Berryman and Benjamin Hansford
be reappointed to said board as the District 4 and At -Large representatives, respectively, and
Bruce Sparrow be appointed as the District 6 representative, replacing Bob Grand, each with a
term to expire on July 31, 2016, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Mark Lawley be reassigned from an
At -Large to District 2 representative, replacing Bill Hall, and Michael Wailes be appointed as an
At -Large representative to replace Mark Lawley, each with a term to expire July 31, 2014, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to reappoint Nicholas Berryman and Benjamin
Hansford, reassign Mark Lawley, and to appoint Michael Wailes and Bruce Sparrow to said
board, with terms to expire as described above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Nicholas Berryman and Benjamin Hansford be, and hereby are,
reappointed; that Mark Lawley be, and hereby is, reassigned; and that Michael Wailes and
Bruce Sparrow be, and hereby are, appointed to the Planning Commission.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 29th day of July, A.D., 2013.
